The Highland Street Corridor Improvement Project extends from Church Street to Bishop Park. This initiative improves pedestrian mobility by connecting Central Dauphin East schools to recreational facilities and enhancing access to Capital Area Transit services and regional commerce.
Our team assisted the Township and School District by installing lights along the corridor to improve pedestrian safety for middle schoolers walking to and from Swatara Middle School. Dawood later prepared the preliminary engineering, scope of work, and budget to apply for the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission (TCRPC) HATs Multimodal grant program. Before submitting the application, Dawood worked with the Township to secure funds from the Central Dauphin School District to fulfill the $100,000 required match.
