A 52,000-square-foot commercial facility, 1920 Good Hope Road is located on prime real estate within the heart of Hampden Township. Good Hope Ventures (GHV) and Dawood Engineering worked with Hampden Township representatives and tenants to repurpose the land, renovate the existing two-story building, achieve plan approval, provide fit-out needs, and install rooftop solar panels.
GHV upgraded the interior flooring, painting, lighting, plumbing, and heating, ventilation, & air conditioning (HVAC) systems for classrooms and office space. GHV also developed a playground and an enclosed walkway to connect both floors. Dawood provided surveying, site development, and partnered with Houston-based Akari Energy to install 236 Kilowatt (kW) bifacial solar array panels—providing tenants efficient and clean energy. The survey team scanned the roof to prepare a solar panel layout design. GHV and Dawood used 10 acres of raw land behind the property to deliver a 65,000-square-foot Class A medical and office building.

Merakey Education Center and Albright LIFE opened for business at 1920 Good Hope, serving the Cumberland County market. Albright LIFE’s sixth elderly daycare facility supports older adults, while the Center provides behavioral and developmental health and safety services. Merakey also works with school districts and community leaders to foster dynamic learning environments for students with autism and emotional support needs.
