Suders Promoted to Dawood Municipal Services Director

(Harrisburg, Pa.) Dawood Engineering has named Jesse Suders, MPS, GISP, municipal services director. Suders specializes in planning, economic development, and digitalization solutions for state and local governments throughout the US.

“Jesse’s new leadership position reflects the tremendous value he provides our clients,” said Jim Rodgers, chief strategic officer with Dawood. “Jesse is a municipal strategist with an uncanny ability to consider all sides of an issue when tackling challenges. His strong acumen in location-based technologies, design principles, and funding mechanisms elevates our ability to serve our municipal clients and their citizens.”

Suders delivers community grants fueling multimodal transportation growth and sustainability. In Spring 2022, he facilitated Pennsylvania Department of Conservation & Natural Resources funding for Swatara Township Bishop Park development. His overall public and private client support encompasses environmental regulatory review, geospatial analyses, technical writing, and disaster recovery.

“From first responder analyses to MS4 permitting related to stormwater and sewer systems, Jesse excels in integrating geographic information systems (GIS) intelligence with engineering methodologies,” said John Mizerak, community and economic development director with Dawood.”

In his expanded role, Suders also works closely with Dawood Government Finance Solutions (GFS) to address asset and data management and help municipalities accomplish financial goals.

A certified GIS professional, Suders is an alumnus of The Pennsylvania State University, where he achieved a Geodesign Master in Professional Studies.
