Survey Operations Manager Scott Miller Advances Diverse Array of Projects

At Dawood, surveying is a core solution connected to everything we do! For National Surveyors Week 2025, we celebrate some of our men and women in the field who deliver daily value to our clients. In today’s Enola, Pennsylvania, spotlight, we circled back with Survey Operations Manager Scott Miller to spotlight a few of his stand-out projects.

Duck Pond Dredging. . .

Scott surveyed sediment accumulation to support dredging in a Central Pennsylvania historic duck pond, measuring ground elevations and collecting data for sediment removal. As sediment accumulates, water depth decreases, impacting the ecosystem and pond functionality.

. . . Highway Construction

As part of Dawood’s involvement with Pennsylvania’s $900 million Central Susquehanna Valley Transportation (CSVT) legacy project, Scott led efforts to conduct a topographic survey for a new highway in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. His team created a precise base map to capture sidewalks, roads, trees, and utilities—converting into CAD drawings for roadway and bridge design.

It’s always a pleasure to work with Scott and the Dawood surveying team—data-driven and detail-oriented!

Solar Energy Development . . .

Scott provided boundary and topographic survey services for Coral Reef’s proposed solar farm in Duncannon, Pennsylvania. The project aims to transform reclaimed sand and stone quarry land into a 1,530-kilowatt-per-hour bifacial solar panel site.

As Scott discussed in his 2022 spotlight, exploring new destinations with his family is a top priority. Last Summer, Scott’s son Emmit (pictured above) began his own Dawood journey as an intern with our Enola environmental team
