Dawood provided highway lighting design for Sections A74 and A72 of Interstate-376 in Allegheny County, PA. As part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 11-0 project, the 8.5-mile corridor extends from Squirrel Hill Tunnel to Interstate-76, including five major interchanges.
Our team upgraded the corridor’s lighting system with dimmable LED luminaires meeting PennDOT criteria for illumination and uniformity. We provided custom foundation and grading design for lighting poles installed on steep slopes and bridge retrofit locations. To address potential neighborhood impacts, Dawood completed a light trespass evaluation identifying and mitigating risks for adjacent residential properties.
From Philadelphia to Pittsburgh, Dawood’s transportation team mobilized to complete lighting design and planning on an accelerated project schedule.
