Research shows that diverse teams are more innovative, creative, and better equipped to solve complex problems. At Dawood, we take this to heart. We recognize April as Diversity month and commit every day to creating an inclusive workplace where we all feel valued and respected.  

Whether we’re tutoring the next generation of engineers or participating in mentor-protégé and workforce development programs, our team advances diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) initiatives domestically and abroad. We believe that DEIB is a journey, not a destination.

Our team leads by example through STEM programs cultivating a “Best-Places-to-Work” environment and by extending our values as community activists.

From the top down, we continually share best practices and insights with diverse partner firms seeking to achieve similar goals. Founder and CEO Bony Dawood, PE, often highlights the importance of DEIB in the workplace and shares his real-world experiences on the topic—whether discussing New York State Association of Professional Land Surveyors diversity, or transportation equity and how we graduated from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation mentor-protégé program.
