Dawood CSO Jim Rodgers Serves As CNRAC Panelist, Discusses Infrastructure Planning And Design

Chief Strategic Officer Jim Rodgers explained how Dawood assists with outdoor infrastructure planning and design during a Conservation & Natural Resources Advisory Council (CNRAC) webinar on October 27, 2021. Rodgers joined fellow expert panelists from diverse backgrounds focused on how to invest in, preserve, and grow outdoor spaces for public use. During the lively conversation, Rodgers discussed how to manage and mitigate the impact of natural area development while improving roads, bridges, and parks.

“It all starts with planning… thoughtful plans that engage stakeholders will best prepare communities to take advantage of economic impacts associated with outdoor recreation spaces,” said Rodgers. “As we begin to invest funding into infrastructure, Dawood helps municipalities access funding and plan for their community’s needs.”

The CNRAC roundtable event also addressed what Pennsylvania is doing to handle the pandemic and make outdoor spaces available and inviting for all who want to participate—a central discussion theme as inclusion, diversity, equity, accessibility and “Nature for All” trailhead signage along PA DCNR’s managed outdoor spaces were magnified. Rodgers reinforced the need to advocate and plan for infrastructure upgrades, sustainability, and changing-use patterns to maximize community value.

Dawood is a global and diverse planning, engineering, and technology firm focused on transforming infrastructure.

CNRAC is the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation & Natural Resources advisory board dedicated to sustaining the natural environment.
