Racette Hire Strengthens Dawood New England Surveying Operations 

(Braintree, Mass.) Jason G. Racette, PLS joins Dawood Engineering as a registered professional land surveyor licensed to practice in Connecticut, Maine, and Massachusetts, with nearly 30 years of land surveying experience.

“Jason’s diverse surveying expertise includes projects at the federal, county, and local levels, including Indian lands and national parks, as well as municipal and utility projects,” said Noel Poynton, survey operations manager in Dawood’s Boston, Massachusetts, office. “From performing complex right-of-way surveys to completing surveys for architectural, engineering, energy, and transportation clients, he’s well-respected within the surveying community.”

Racette has completed survey assignments throughout the U.S. and owned a land surveying firm in New England, where he remains an active member of the University of Maine Surveying Engineering Technology Industrial Advisory Committee for more than 20 years. He is involved with the National Society of Professional Surveyors and the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying.

Currently the Past Chair of the ABET Applied and Natural Science Accreditation Commission—Racette led, reviewed, and assisted with ABET program accreditation at nearly 20 colleges and universities throughout the U.S. and abroad.

ABET accredits college and university programs in the disciplines of applied and natural science, computing, engineering and engineering technology at the associate, bachelor’s, and master’s degree levels.
